This past June, 50 Cent’s face was all in the media outlets for being involved in a text war with his 16 year-old son Marquis. People were calling him crazy, and a foul-mouthed a-s for cursing out his son. When the texts were leaked, one would’ve thought that this was the worst 50 had to hide.
Not too long after, 50 fled the scene of a California residence for a domestic violence attack on the mother of his child. Funny how everyone thought it was Shaniqua Tompkins (mother of his 16-year-old son Marquis) that called the police, but it wasn’t.
Former girlfriend Daphne Joy was the mother in question who was attacked by 50, had several personal items destroyed after a heated argument that went south. Nobody knew 50 fathered another child, let alone with his ex-girlfriend so not only was the domestic violence bad but this mystery child left a lot of unanswered questions.
Since the incident, 50’s lawyers have released a statement saying that 50 is unaware of any of these charges against him (battery, domestic violence, damaging of personal property costing up to $70,000), and that they are investigating the case further along with the LA City’s Attorney Office.
According to TMZ:
50 Cent has pled non-guilty today (August 5) to five charges surrounding June’s domestic violence case. The judge asked the rapper to turn in all of his firearms with the plea & is ordered to stay away from the accusing victim, Daphne Joy.
50 Cent is expected to return to court in September.
