One legal problem after another for R&B/ Pop/ Hip Hop superstar Chris Brown this week.
After a club owner of HEAT in California vouched for Chris saving him from one lawsuit with a crazy fan, but now it seems a car accident from last month will hit Chris with two charges of criminal hit & run. If found guilty of these charges by a judge, Breezy could face up to four years in prison for the charges and violation of his five year probation from 2009’s domestic abuse charge.
TMZ.com reports that the Los Angeles City Attorney has filed two criminal charges against Brown stemming from an incident last month where Chris rear-ended another vehicle.
Allegedly Chris refused to share his driver’s license number and provided the other driver with fake insurance information before leaving the scene. “Girlfriend” Karrueche Tran was present & together they were photographed by paparazzi taking pictures of the actual hit to the each individual car. (seen below)
Brown has been charged with hit-and-run for leaving the scene without exchanging proper insurance information and has also been charged with driving without a valid license. If a judge feels that Brown broke the law in the hit-and-run incident, thus violating his probation, he could be sentenced up to four years in prison, the site says.
Beyond the hit-and-run, he also may face battery charges stemming from the parking lot brawl between himself & artist Frank Ocean.
It’s not looking too good for Breezy.
The alleged victim in Chris Brown’s hit-and-run incident last month has given a written statement to police, according to reports at TMZ.com.
The victim, Olga Gure-Kovalenko, told police that the singer screamed at her and repeatedly called her a “b-tch”.
Even though Gure-Kovalenko says in the statement that both she and Brown pulled their cars over to the side of the road after the collision, she says that Brown declined to give her his driver’s license. When Gure-Kovalenko says she went to take a picture of Brown and Karrueche Tran, Brown’s girlfriend who was riding in the vehicle with Chris, she says Brown and Tran became violent. “The guy [Chris] tried to grab camera or me,” Gure-Kovalenko says in the police report.”I jumped back, the girl [Karrueche] screamed, ‘Don’t touch her, don’t touch her.'”
Gure-Kovalenko says that Brown then said, “You are a bitch. Who do you think you are, bitch? Do you think if you driving Mercedes so you got money, bitch?”
Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, says that Brown gave the other driver in the incident his Virginia driver’s license and also gave her an insurance card, according to TMZ. Geragos also says the hit-and-run charge is not valid and that Brown has two cars, and that the Fireman’s Insurance card he provided was for his Lamborghini, not the Range Rover he was driving.
Still looking ugly for the kid…
