Frank Ocean has taken a back seat when it comes to social media activity, his music, and all the other drama as of late — the “Novacane” singer has been completely OFF THE SCENE.
Although the singer may have been keeping quite the quiet life, he’s popped up in the news but it’s not for any of his Grammy nominated talent, or social media rants but for his name. Reportedly, Frank Ocean wants to be legally named as such.
Real name, Christopher Breaux, filed to legally & permanently change his name to his stage moniker. But unfortunately, the singer’s requests were thwarted as the courts denied him because Ocean has too many unpaid tickets pending as well as a suspended license, and he’s skipped several previous court dates.
The singer got three tickets over a brief three month period, and the judge requested that Ocean clean up his driving record before he approves of any name change. If he does not show any responsibility for the law then he cannot exercise his right to legally change a name. Sounds fair, right?
