According to Steven Smith, Melo is considering leaving the NY Knicks. During a recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith dropped several hints that Carmelo Anthony is considering leaving the New York Knicks this summer.
During his breakdown of Carmelo’s future, the NBA analyst says Carmelo isn’t growing with the team. “The New York Knicks can do so much to improve their circumstances for the immediate future,” he said. “Carmelo Anthony is starting to stare at his own mortality.”
According to ESPN, Stephen also claims that Phil Jackson’s move to New York has a lot to do with it, calling him a prop that Carmelo won’t fall for. That would add onto the rumor that Melo is leaving because it was also rumored that Phil Jackson did NOT want Carmelo to stay on the team. If Phil came back, Melo was to get kicked out.
