Finally Kanye is releasing some of his new music. Just earlier in the week, we discussed Hudson Mohawke (G.O.O.D. Music signee) incorporating Yeezy’s unreleased tracks into his own shows.
Inside New York City’s Roseland Ballroom, Kanye performed an hour long set for the Adult Swim Upfront party, using both old and new music to entertain the crowd. One of his new songs was the one supposedly dedicated to his baby mother, Kim Kardashian titled “Awesome”. On the track many have called “Awesome” or “So Awesome,” Kanye asks, “Why would you ever listen to the people trying to hate on you?.. Baby, you’re awesome. Don’t let nobody bring you down. You’re so awesome.” He continues, adding “I’d rather do nothing with you than something with somebody new.” (See below)
[The other track is said to be called “Yeezy Season” but there are no official confirmations.]
Amidst his show, Yeezy’s infamous rant began and he spoke on how he’s not a “celebrity”, criticized the paparazzi for harassment, and his upcoming appearance on SNL.
“One thing about me, I’m the worst kind of celebrity because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real, real shit and that’s it. That’s motherf-cking it. So I don’t want nobody trying to run up on me with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and shit to magazines, asking me no dumbass questions, throwing me off of my focus and shit, harassing you all motherf-cking day. I ain’t no motherf-cking celebrity.”
Kanye said that he will not be apart of any of the SNL skits and will not use SNL to poke fun at himself for walking into the street sign. “Hell nah I ain’t doing no motherf-cking SNL skits. This my goddamn life. This ain’t no motherf-cking joke. That’s it. Stop that shit right there.”
We all knew Kanye greatly disliked the paparazzi and he doesn’t make fun of himself, ever. Kanye West is serious about himself, his music, and who ever is around him. The guy really just wants to live his life without criticism or always being under the microscope – which is what is probably feels like always being followed by people with cameras.
