The “Macho Man” Randy Savage is FINALLY going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame according to new reports obtained from TMZ Sports.
Sources say the WWE is expected to make the official announcement on “Monday Night Raw” tonight.
It’s unclear why the WWE has waited so long to induct Savage into the Hall of Fame, especially since he’s one of the most famous wrestlers of all time. Unfortunately for Savage, he won’t be present to make a speech or accept the true honors as a Hall of Famer as he passed away back in 2011.
After Savage’s passing, it was said that some former WWE superstars were offended by WWE for not acknowledging his long-time successful career and hard work given to the wrestling world. Former Champion wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin even confronted former GM Vince McMahon about it last month — with Vince promising Savage would be inducted in the near future.
Now, McMahon is proving he’s a man of his word. The official induction ceremony will go down in Santa Clara, CA the day before WrestleMania 31.
Congratulations to Randy Savage! Long Live the Macho Man.
