Thats’s Meek Mill running from the Philadelphia jail this past Tuesday afternoon (Dec 2) after serving five months for violating parole in a 2009 drug case.
Mill was on probation for about five years following a drug and gun case conviction originating from 2009. In July, Judge Genese Brinkly sentenced the rapper to three-to-six months in prison for a parole violation after failing a drug test and appearing to use a gun in a music video.
During his 5-month sentence, Mill was kept in protective custody at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility. Along with his parole violation sentence, he was ordered to take anger management & etiquette classes following a parole office “tantrum” over travel restrictions.
Since his release, Meek has been nothing but exuberant about his regained freedom. He couldn’t help but celebrate and bask in the excitement with the rest of Philly as they took their celebration of Meek’s release to the streets. See below:
