This must be the year of Reggae-influenced singles. Drake’s “Controlla,” has been destroying to charts, and fellow Toronto artist Tory Lanez brings lots of reggae influence & style with his latest single, “LUV” the second single from his upcoming debut album, I Told You.
Produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, the dancehall inspired joint is all about affection & expressing love. “Everyone falls in love sometime,” sings the Toronto crooner. “I don’t know about you, but it ain’t a crime.”
If that sounds familiar, that’s because it’s directly pulled from Jamaican artists Tanto Metro and Devonte’s classic Dancehall hit “Everyone Falls in Love.”
