RICH HOMIE QUAN CRITICIZED FOR RAPE LYRIC, QUAN RESPONDS

3

Last night, everyone was left with quite the shock when a leaked Rich Homie Quan song seemed to condone raping women. The condoning of rape was shocking and from Quan of all people! The rapper whose lyrics are usually quite respectful of women. It’s even even led some to hesitantly calling him a “feminist.”

But on the leaked single “I Made It,” Quan wa rapping “She tried to resist so I took it from her,” which sounds like rape if you ask us.

Thankfully, Quan just released a statement apologizing for his lyrics on the song, which he apparently never planned to release:

“‘I Made It’ was never intended to be released,” he writes, “The song was not lyrically what I wanted to say and was not completed. Without my knowledge, there was a studio leak of the recording. I apologize that it’s out; and I have asked my lawyer to pursue a cease and desist on the song immediately. To be clear, I would never condone rape.”
