Rihanna and Drake are back together again, no matter if it’s fully “public,” as at least that’s what PEOPLE magazine is reporting. On Thursday (May 5), the magazine revealed that the “Work” collaborators have been “secretly dating for months,” according to an anonymous source.
In 2010, Rihanna told Angie Martinez that there was chemistry between the two superstars. “I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is, like it was what it was,” she said at the time (via CNN). “We didn’t want to take it any further. It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn’t want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.” During sometime that same year, Drake opened up about their relationship to The New York Times. “I was a pawn,” he said. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”
More recently after some emotional wounds healed, they’ve celebrated success together. Their collaboration “Work” spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and they’ve been performing it during select “ANTI World Tour” dates. In fact, they did just that last night, surprising fans with a steamy duet at L.A.’s Forum. (as seen below)
After Wednesday’s concert, the rumored couple headed to L.A. hotspot The Nice Guy, where they were seen “dancing all night together” and being “very affectionate throughout the evening.” (Uh, once again. They need to stop frontin’ & make it public after ALL THESE YEARS.)
Another anonymous source explained “They have been keeping it a secret because this time around, they want to do it right and keep their relationship private,” the source tells PEOPLE.
RiRi and Drake most recently teamed up for “Too Good” off Drake’s latest album Views. “We’re not just forcing the story. We have genuine energy between us,” Drake told Zane Lowe on OVOSOUND Radio.
