Earlier in the week, Watch This told you that up-and-coming Louisiana rapper Lil’ Snupe was shot and killed at the age of 18.
There were very little details on how he died, who the suspect was, etc. but now the details are coming to light.
Winnfield police [Winnfield, Lousiana] say Snupe was shot twice in the chest at the Maplewood apartment complex. The suspect, police have ID’d 36 year old Tony D. Holden as the murderer.
Holden has been charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Warrants have been issued for each of the aforementioned charges.
It’s being reported that Snupe was shot over a bet on a video game. “We are told they were betting on a video game,” Winnfield police Lt. Charles Curry told the Shreveport Times. “Supposedly he (Holden) robbed him (Snupe) of money.”
Not only was Lil’ Snupe so young, he was talented & had a bright future ahead of him as his music career was just startting to pilot. Lil’ Snupe was signed to Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers earlier this year & released a mixtape after signing to the label entitled “R.N.I.C.- Realest Nigga In Charge”.
The apartment complex where the murder took place has now been turned into a memorial for the rapper. R.I.P.
