HA! Keyshia Chante’s face is priceless! She clearly ain’t having it with newcomer August Alsina after he snapped at her on a live showing of BET’s ‘106 & Park’ yesterday, April 15th.
R&B singer August Alsina’s debut album Testimony dropped yesterday so he swung through to ‘106 & Park’ on the promo trail to promote his album and to also debut a new video featuring Fabolous called “Grind & Pray/Get Ya Money.”
During the interview piece, 106 host Keisha Chante asked the New Orleans singer if August and Trey Songz would ever be able to squash their beef and become friends again. You’ll recall, August said he doesn’t “fuck” with Trey because of his “big ego and major attitude.” There was an unconfirmed rumor that Trey got full of himself when he found out that he was taking the stage at a show before August. Trey figured he should be the last performance when it comes to an upcoming artist.. as he’s more seasoned.. and not upcoming.
August admits he ended up not doing a show with Trey because he “can’t deal with ni**as’ egos and attitudes” so it’s possible the rumor has some truth. Whatever the reason behind the statement, August wants nothing to do with Trigga. And he definitely doesn’t feel like even discussing the singer during interviews. Prior to entering the 106 stage, August reportedly told producers & the hosts to NOT ask about the Trey beef. (Making demands now? Sounds like he’s also building an ego & attitude.)
When asked about Trey…August, clearly annoyed, responded, “I just told y’all not to ask me that sh*t when I got up in here.” Keisha was pretty upset over his response, clearly making sure not to look at him as he spoke, and then stormed off set as he introduced his new video. She MAD!
Understanding August not wanting to focus on negativity like a beef while just trying to sell his album & promo, but he was just plain rude. And Bow Wow couldn’t even stand up for his co-host – PUNK!
