During the interview, Kanye made it very clear that his beef with Kimmel was far from a sham and he’s never felt the need to be involved in any stunts for publicity. He also let Jimmy know through his many straight “n-gga don’t get embarrassed on national TV” facial expressions to keep things respectful.. “Never think that I’m not from Chicago for one second..”
Jimmy dove right into the topic everyone wanted to hear about: the Twitter feud. Kimmel however never even let Kanye express why he was offended by Kimmel’s parody of his Zane Lowe interview in the first place. But once that was out the way, Ye’ spent the rest of the interview boasting on his creative genius, defending baby mother Kim K’s right to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and revealing that he is a celebrity that has reached a ceiling — a point of “where to go now, what to do”.
According to his 7-minute long, uninterrupted vent at the end (classic Kanye move), he expressed that he wanted to break new ground with his ideas in the same way that he has done music, but people in positions of power that can help him, won’t give him a chance.
Overall, it was a great interview. Classic Kanye all around. He came, he spoke, & he shut sh-t down. Check out the entire 24 minute interview below:
