The stars were out in the Bay Area this week, including Rihanna, as the NBA Finals officially tipped off from the Oracle Arena.
Although Rihanna was in #DubNation for Game 1 and sitting directly next to the Warriors owners, Joe Lacob, she refused to root against LeBron James and the Cavaliers- something that didn’t sit well with Lacob.
Golden State’s owner says he was forced to move his court side seats because he just couldn’t handle Rihanna’s constant applause for King James. Everyone knows that one girl who constantly chirps during the game, so we don’t blame him for bailing once Rihanna went ‘All-In’ for the Cavs.
Previous rumors suggested that Lacob’s wife forced him to switch seats after he moved their kids down to the other end of the floor to make room for Ri-Ri. “I took my two kids, who like to go to a lot of games and I booted them down to the end of the court, and seated her next to me. Seat her next to the owner, it’s a nice thing to do,” Lacob said.
“She was rooting for LeBron the whole game, and finally I got irritated and I said (whispering), ‘I am the owner of the Warriors,’” Lacob said, adding “Finally, I just said, ‘that’s it,’ and I moved a few seats away.”
Rihanna was not present for Game 2, which the Cavs won behind LeBron’s monstrous triple double performance of 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. Maybe someone spoke to her people & advised her no behavior having self to support Bron Bron at home.
