Juneau Schools Closed Today After 20 Inches Of Snow
Schools in Juneau will remain shut on Tuesday due to the accumulation of over 20 inches of snow during the holiday weekend. This closure also extends to RALLY and all after-school programs, and no remote learning will be provided.
A virtual school board meeting concerning the district’s budget is scheduled at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
City offices and facilities, including City Hall, will commence operations at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The opening times for other facilities are staggered, with the Dimond Park Aquatic Center opening at 11 a.m., and Treadwell Arena at 12:15 p.m.
The youth basketball practice organized by the Parks and Recreation Department has been canceled.
Capital Transit buses will adhere to winter routes until midnight of Tuesday morning. Normal service is anticipated to resume later that day.
