It’s not the most interesting headline ever, but Taylor Swift now has a $3k bill to pay thanks to the NYC sanitation department. Even though this is pocket change for the superstar, it’s probably more embarrassing than fiscally punishing.
The famous singer-songwriter is allegedly facing fines exceeding $3,000 for failing to properly dispose of trash outside her New York City apartment. City records cited by the outlet reportedly revealed that Swift has accumulated 32 tickets for not maintaining cleanliness on the sidewalks in front of her Tribeca home.
The said fines display various types of household garbage, including piles of newspapers, bottles, and cardboard, as well as napkins and empty boxes of cigarettes
Some individuals speculated that the trash might be the result of fans waiting for Swift, smoking out of boredom, despite the fact that she herself does not smoke, as mentioned by a 33-year-old resident named Christine O’Connor.
