Queens Teen Accused Of Stealing Lamborghini Will NOT Face Jail

One of the two individuals accused of stealing a Lamborghini and going on a joy ride has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and will not get any jail time.

According to Cook County property records, Christopher Flores, a 19-year-old, has been identified by the police as one of the men involved in the incident. On April 19, the pair took a wild ride in a white Lamborghini Urus SUV, starting at the Bellerose Sonic Car Wash and ending with a crash in Queens.

Various local media outlets, including a CBS News helicopter, covered the episode as it unfolded outside a shopping mall in Elmhurst. However, police did not release the mug shots of the suspects.

Initially, the individuals were arrested by the NYPD and then by the Nassau County Police on separate charges the following day.

A plea agreement was reached between Flores and the Nassau County District Attorney. In Mineola court, Flores admitted to committing disorderly conduct on April 19, 2023, on Jericho Turnpike.

Under the terms of the agreement, all criminal charges against Flores are absolved. Disorderly conduct is classified as a violation rather than a crime.

Furthermore, the plea agreement offers additional benefits for Flores. The disorderly conduct conviction will be completely wiped from his record if he maintains a clean record for one year, resulting in a “conditional discharge.” As part of the court’s decision, Judge Geoffrey Prime ordered Flores to pay mandatory court surcharges amounting to $95 and $25.

The resolution of this case implies that there are no fines, community service requirements, or jail time for Flores. Moreover, the records related to this incident will be sealed, essentially erasing any trace of it. Joshua Lembert, the co-defendant and a resident of Bay Terrace, is scheduled to appear in Mineola on July 10, 2023, to face charges from Nassau County. It is anticipated that Lembert will receive a similar offer from the Nassau District Attorney.

Initially, the Nassau County Police had announced that they were seeking a third suspect. However, the driver of the vehicle captured on surveillance videos outside the Ultra Sonic Car Wash, from where the thieves jumped out and ran to the Lamborghini, was not identified. It remains undisclosed whether that driver was apprehended.

However, Flores still faces criminal charges from his NYPD arrest. He is charged in Queens Criminal Court with felony criminal possession of stolen property and misdemeanor unauthorized use of a vehicle for the joy ride.
