Brazen Thieves Steal 13 Luxury Cars In NYC & Still Didn’t Get Caught

A gang of thieves infiltrated over a dozen upscale residences in various New York City neighborhoods, making off with nearly 10 high-end automobiles in a coordinated operation that spanned three months.

According to law enforcement officials, these car thieves targeted driveways in both Queens and Brooklyn between June and August, stealing vehicles such as Porsche, Mercedes, and Range Rover.

As of Sunday night, the criminals are still at large.

Operating in groups of four and three, the gang primarily focused on homes in the affluent Whitestone neighborhood. However, they also struck houses in Bayside, Jamaica Estates, Holliswood, Manhattan Beach, and Bay Ridge.

The gang executed their burglaries during the early morning hours, taking advantage of the homeowners’ sleep.

The criminals initiated their spree on June 2 at a Point Crescent residence but were thwarted by the homeowner before they could make away with any valuables.

Later that month, they attempted break-ins at two more homes but were unsuccessful due to homeowner confrontations in the first instance and a triggered security alarm in the second.

Their criminal activities escalated in July. On July 21, they successfully broke into a Queens home, taking an Audi SUV along with other items. The next day, they seized a BMW sedan from another Queens residence.

Over the subsequent days, they targeted more homes, stealing a Range Rover SUV, a Porsche, jewelry, cash, clothes, and another Mercedes Benz.

In July, they managed to steal an Audi SUV, a Genesis sedan, and a BMW SUV from various residences. However, they were forced to flee other homes empty-handed when alarms were triggered.

Their last known burglary occurred on August 2. In this instance, they raided a Brooklyn home and stole jewelry, clothing, and two luxury vehicles—a Mercedes Benz and a BMW SUV.

Law enforcement officials have recovered the stolen BMW sedan, a Mercedes Benz sedan, and a Genesis sedan, but the other vehicles are still missing.

Despite an overall decrease in burglaries across New York City compared to the previous year, car thefts have surged by approximately 19% year-over-year, as indicated by NYPD crime data.

The NYPD has released images of the suspects and is urging anyone with information regarding the carjacking incidents to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
